It can be aptly said that Moscow is the heart of Russia; it forms the historical, architectural, scientific, political and business center of Russia. Moscow is Russia’s capital and represents the country’s most extreme contrasts. The city has a populace of nearly 10 million and the new and old traditions exist in perfect harmony. It is the largest European city. The different places of tourist interest in Moscow include the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Metro, Armoury Oruzheynaya Palata, Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Kremlin, Gorky Park, Diamond Fund, Novodevichy Convent and Cemetery, Cathedral of the Archangel, Lenin’s Mausoleum, Izmailovsky Park and Market, Old Tretyakov Gallery, VVC Exhibition Center, New Tretyakov Gallery and Sculpture Park, Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, KGB Museum of Security Service on Lubyanka, Great Kremlin Palace, Nikulin Circus on Tsevtnoi Bulvar and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in addition to many more. The tourists will enjoy the various performances of theatrical shows, ballet and opera at the world famous Bolshoi Theatre. Moscow Metro is a must see for all the visitors for its ornate architecture and superb public transport system. The different museums in Moscow have innumerable pieces of art work, history and sculptures.
