The Galapagos Islands is a virginal tourist destination with striking natural beauty that is completely untouched. The tourists visiting this beautiful place have the most stunning and memorable experience of their lives with the exciting jungle safaris, world class water sports of snorkeling and diving and most rare and exotic plant life and wildlife. The Galapagos Islands is an archipelago of many volcanic islands and forms Ecuador’s province. All the volcanic islands form a part of the national park system of Ecuador. The main islands include Baltra, Darwin, Espanola, Fernandina, Floreana, Genovesa, Isabela, Marchena, North Seymour, Pinta, Pinzon, Rabida, San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago, South Plaza, Wolf and Minor Island. The oldest is believed to have formed about 5 to 10 million years ago and the youngest islands of Fernandina and Isabela are still in the formation stage.

The tourists will have an enthralling experience while exploring the natural paradise of these biologically diverse islands. The islands are endowed with remarkably unique fauna and flora. You will be delighted to see the continuous beaches of white sands like the Tortuga Bay, prehistoric animals, exquisite marine reserves, colourful birds, lava tunnels and excellent diving areas. The tourist season is all year round in this place and the peak season is from middle of December to January and from June till August. The best season for snorkeling is from January to April. The climate of Galapagos Islands is sub tropical.

Majority of the area of the Galapagos Islands is protected area. The tourists can see the complex phenomenon of continuously evolving ecosystem. You must visit the Black Beach, Post Office Bay, Cormorant Point, Flaming Lagoon and the Pirates, Caves on Floreana Island. You can enjoy scuba diving in La Corona del Diablo. You get to see the furry seals, frigate birds, marine iguanas, masked boobies, red- footed boobies and many tropical sea birds on the island of Genovesa. The rare and exotic birdlife can be seen at Cucubes, El Soplador and El Geiser.

The Marine Reserve of the Galapagos Island is a Natural Heritage Site. The island of Santiago is renowned for its scuba diving areas. It also provides the chance of walking between the lava flow formations till Bartolome’s volcanic peak and see the dwellings of the sea lions and furry seals. You can see colonies of blue footed boobies, frigate birds and sea lions on the island of North Seymour. Santa Fe is a bay with giant cactus forests and you are able to spot iguanas, sea lions and sparrow hawks over here. At Isabela, you are able to see the volcanic activity and nursery of turtles. You can see the exotic marine life of Galapagos by way of shallow or deep diving.
