Located at the west southern central part of the United States, Texas is the second largest state present. Having a very large size and distinct history the place is quite popular among tourists. San Antonio and Houston are the two largest cities of the state while Dallas – Fort along with Houston is the business capital of the state. The economy of the state has experienced a rapid growth in the recent years and today the state is mostly known for its aeronautic industries and the energy that they produce. The state houses the world’s largest health and research institution known as the Texas Medical Center located in Houston.
Texas can be easily termed as the state of lakes. These lakes are either freshwater ones or saltwater lakes and are some of the best places to hang out around. In fact these lakes can be found in every corner of the state making it a very beautiful place. Some of the better known lakes that are found in the state are Lake Abilene, Lake Amon G. Carter, Lake Athens, Lake Livingston and Lone Star Lake. The tourists can easily visit the different parts of the state which can be classified as West Texas, Hill Country and the San Antonio Area, East Texas, South Texas and the Northern Texas. Haley Memorial Library and the Haley Memorial Center: This memorial center was basically constructed to preserve the heritage of the state. Housing more than 25,000 books and other materials the library is one of the most favorite places to be visited by the tourists. The history center is the place where the tourists would be able to get everything related to the history of the state.
Caverns of Sonora: The best place where the tourists can experience nature from close. This place is located at about 8 miles away from the west of Sonora. This is the best place if the tourists want to see some active caves that are still forming and growing.

The Riverside Nature Center: Located at the center of the Kerrville this was a small farm that has been converted into a nature center. This is the place where the tourists can watch some rare species of plants and trees.
The Enchanted Rock State Nature Park: The tourists can indulge in some adventure at this place. Some of the activities in which the tourists can take part in are camping, hiking; rock climbing and even wildlife watching.

Dinosaur valley State Park: Located at the northwestern part of the Somervell County. This is one of the park in which the tourists can get to know everything about dinosaurs.
Creative Evidence Museum: This is a non profit earning educational museum that was started in the year 1984. The motive of the museum is to assist the various researches that were going around the in city.
