Tunisia is a tiny nation located on North Africa’s Mediterranean Coast. It is Africa’s northernmost country and the smallest nation in the mountainous range of Atlas Mountains. Tunisia can be easily reached by air at the Carthage International Airport, the main airport at Tunis for scheduled flights. The other airport is Monastir or MIR, which gets cheap charter flights from all places in Europe.

Tunis is linked by ferry services to Malta, Italy and France. Getting around in Tunisia is quite convenient by way of rental cars, private taxis, modernized train service shared taxis and buses. The tourists must make a trip to Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia and see the UNESCO World Heritage Site of medina- Bab el Bahr on Place de la Victoire. One ought to see the authentic souks (markets), the ancient 13th century Souk el Attarine, selling essential oils and scents. Another must see is the Zitouna Mosque. The National Bardo Museum is popular tourist sight and houses archeological treasures and Roman Mosaic.
