While going on a trek there are many things that have to be remembered by the tourists. These things are of vital importance and should be remembered all the time while on the tour. Some of the things that have to be remembered by the people are:
Shoes: This is the most important thing that has to be remembered while on a trek. Shoes should be chosen keeping in mind many things. It should be strong enough to bare the rough climate and also should be able to bear the weight of the person and also the backpack. The tourists are advised to choose shoes that come along with ankle support which will give a steady and strong support to the ankle while walking. A twisted ankle is the last thing that a tourist would want in the middle of a trek. Some of the trekking shoes take a considerable time to mould themselves to the size of the feet but once they do so they can be really comfortable and strong. It’s also advised to have a heavy pair of shoes if the tourist has a plan of carrying a heavy backpack. Light weight shoes are always advised for trekking which would last for about two to three days.
Backpack: This is again an important part of trekking and should be chosen keeping in mind the need of the tourist. The tourists are also advised to get a backpack which comes along with a frame. Carrying a bag that comes along with a frame is very important if the trekking is to exceed more than two days. The backpack contains some very essential things that will be needed during the trek. Some of those things include the tent, the sleeping bag, food and other things. A smaller backpack can be taken for a trip that lasts for not more than a day and would generally include things like charts and smaller things.
Food and Water: Again this is one of the most crucial things that decide the fate of the tour. Any trekker would not like his bag to be very bulky and would also need a daily calorie intake of about 2000. The diet of any trekker should be well balanced and should involve food having high power and calories. Even water should be given high importance while going on a trek. The trekkers should remember to have at least three liters of water on a daily basis.
Clothes: This is often neglected by most of the trekkers. But, it should be remembered that proper clothes are vital if the trekking is taking place in some hilly area. While going on a trek or on a mountain covered with show it is always advisable to have adequate warm clothes and be prepared with the amount of changes in the climate that would be coming in its way. The best trick is to cover up with many layers of clothes instead of wearing only one.
