The capital of United Kingdom, London is the biggest urban area in the whole country. The streets of the country have their own charm and a brief history. The Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben present at the center of the country are popular through out the world. Every part of London stands tall to speak of some kind of a legacy. While moving towards the western part of London the tourists can visit the Hogarth’s house or some of the other monuments that will surely amaze everyone.

London is also famous for its ancient architectural work that can be found in every nook and corner of the city. The tourists can have a feel of the architecture of the city at the Georgian Square or at the terraces of Bloomsbury. The most interesting things about the capital are the various pillars and boxes and the ancient street signs that speak of the rich history of the capital. Some of the other places that can be visited by the tourists when on a tour to London are:

Bank of England Museum: This is the place where the tourists can get to know all about the famous Bank of England which was constructed was back in about 1694. This museum stands at the financial center of the country and has the basic task of maintaining the financial stability in the country. Some of the historical things that are on a display at this museum include ancient documents, prints, banknotes and even photographs. Some of the other museums that can be visited include St. John’s Gate Museum, Fulham Palace Museum, The Geffrye Museum and the National Maritime Museum.

The London Aquarium: This is one of the biggest aquariums of London. This is the place where the tourists can get to watch more than 450 species of water life that have been kept in about more than 50 displays. The species that can be found at this place range from sharks, clownfish, stingrays to lionfish and even crabs. This can be a place where the tourists can enjoy and relax a bit.

Hampton Court Palace: Promising an enchanting journey back to about 500 years this is the place where the tourists can get to see the splendid apartments of William III and Henry VIII. They can even visit the 60 acres wide riverside garden which is full of mazes that can be enjoyed by the tourists. This place also has a wide collection of ancient and royal paintings that can be found throughout the building.

Buckingham Palace: Any tourist cannot go back without having a look at the official residence of the Queen of the London. This is one of the most famous administrative headquarters of the country the palace is always filled with many people at work. The palace also houses all those who have the task of supporting the day to day activities of the Queen. Almost all the royal ceremonies are also held at this palace organized by the royal households.
