Situated at the south central part of USA, Oklahoma is the 20th largest state of the country. The state was formed on 16th November, 1907 and is an important center for the production of food, oil and natural gas and is also famous for its energy, aviation and biotechnology. One of the fastest economies of the country, the state currently ranks third in the per capita growth of income. With vast natural resources the state also attracts thousands of tourists towards it every year. Some of the major places to be visited in the state are:

Oklahoma City Zoo: This zoo is the favorite palce to spend the weekends. The zoo is a member of the American Association of Museums and the Associations of Zoos and Aquariums and displays some of the rarest species of animals. The zoo also takes part in various conservation programs that are organized by the various institutions for the protection of endangered and rare species of animals. Some of the things that have been exhibited at the zoo are the cat forest which provides the visitors with an entire view of the lives of cats. The visitors can also get very close to the gorillas and chimpanzees at the great escape. For taking a glimpse of the various rare species of aquatic creatures the aquarium of the zoo is the best place. At the Oklahoma trail the visitors can experience the natural beauty of the state which is spread across an area of about 8 acres.

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum: One of the premier institutes of America for western history, culture and art is the museum which was established in 1961. The museum is engaged in the collection of and preservation of internationally renowned western pieces of artifacts. The museum also engages itself in the sponsoring of various educational programs and research works. On an estimation more than 10 million people have till now visited the museum from all around the world. Most of the people who visit the museum come here to gain an understanding of the history and the culture of the west.

Thunderbird Entertainment Center: Open all around the week, this is a high stake casino. The casino has a lot in its offerings and the visitors can play almost all the types of games over here. On Sundays the casino offers bingo to the visitors. This can be a great place to hang around at late hours of the day.

Robbers Cave State Park: The Park is located at a distance of about 4 miles away from the Wilburton state highway 2. This place was once a hideout place for Jesse James and his gang. The visitors would be really surprised with the huge sandstorm mountains that are found at this park.

Heavener Stone State Park: On an average about 140,000 people visit this place per year which is full of stones that are almost 10 feet wide and 12 feet in height. This place was established in 1970 and has gained a lot of popularity in recent times.
