Tenerife is the largest island of the seven islands of the archipelago of Canary Island. It is located slightly towards the northern side of the Tropic of Cancer. Tenerife is situated in the centre of the island chain, between La Palma, La Gomera and Gran Canaria. Tenerife is at a distance of 1,300 km from the mainland of Spain and about 300 km away from the African Coast. It is peculiarly shaped in the form of a triangle, with the towering Mount Pico del Tiede in its centre rising to a height of 3,718 metres, making it Spain’s highest point. Tenerife Island is of volcanic origin, formed in the later part of the tertiary age.

Tenerife is a treasure trove of rich ecosystems that are characterized by typical fauna and flora. Tenerife is world renowned for its excellent climate and has earned itself the name of Island of Eternal Spring. The island enjoys temperate, mild and moderate type of climate all through the year. Within the island, you will able to experience many types of micro climates, owing to its varying geography.

The tourists will be able to see examples of traditional architecture in the stately residences and humble homes of the island inhabitants. The island architecture primarily draws its inspiration from the traditional Portuguese and Andalucian style of architecture.
