Iranian civilization is one of the oldest ones and Iran reflects a rich and glorious culture, heritage, custom and traditions. Throughout history, the culture of Iran has greatly influenced various parts of the world starting from the River Nile to central Europe. People throughout the world have taken the historic Silk Route over the ages, and marveled at the rich and glorious civilization of the Persian Empire. A visit to Iran is a unique experience in itself as you are cradled in the lap of a great civilization. Iran has a recorded history of nearly three millennia and has a huge collection of hallowed stonework and ruins. The architectural style of Iran is very distinctive and highly creative and the tourists are able to see some impressive structures like Persepolis, Isfahan and Air Traps.

In addition to its splendorous culture and history, Iran is also naturally blessed with a varied and interesting geography. In this manner, it becomes a paradise of sort for the nature enthusiasts. The climatic diversity of this country is such that some tourists will enjoy winter sports in the mountainous regions, while others will enjoy sun bathing at the southern shoreline simultaneously, just separated by short distances. Iran has a strategic location in the region of the Middle East between the Persian Gulf, Caspain Sea and Gulf of Oman. The most important cities of Iran are Tehran (the capital city), Kashan, Mashad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Qom, Yazd, Tabriz, Rasht and Zahedan. Tehran is a beautiful and vibrant city but suffers from severe air pollution and traffic problems. It is situated on the Albroz Mountain Slopes and sits at the foot hills of Iran’s highest mountain, Mount Damavand. The tourist attractions of Iran are by far too many in the form of various historical and religious buildings, cuisines, mosques and monuments in addition to many more.

You must visit the Kandovan village to see the houses in the shape of pyramids with rocky architecture. The rocky hotel of this area is also worth seeing. Visitors must make a trip to Isfahan’s Grand Bazaar, the oldest and biggest marketplace of Middle East. Sioesepol Bridge is an architectural masterpiece. Teheran’s grand bazaar is also a popular tourist attraction. Do not miss the Pars Museum with its graceful octagonal building with huge hall, many pavilions and pools. The other places of tourist interest in Iran are Bushehr, Babol, Kazeron, Mahallat, Kish Island, Nishabour, Masjed Soleiman, Rafsanjan, Nowshahr, Qeshm Island, Dezful, Susa and Kermanshah. Iran requires a valid passport and visa. You can get in easily by plane as there are many international flights from major cities of the world. There are international connections of passenger trains as well from Syria and Turkey. You can drive by car from Turkey and there are bus services from Pakistan.
