Seville is a very beautiful city with romantic history. The Seville is the capital of Andalusia, famous for its Flamenco, Feria, Semana Santa and bullfights. The true beauty comes from its river Guadalquivir, romantic lanes in the old town, historic buildings and the fragrance of the scenic gardens. The ancient ring wall and erect 66 towers can still be sighted. The Triana suburb is located on the bank of the river. Visitors are mainly interested in the culture of Seville. The Sierra Nevada range is 40 kilometres away from the coast. It has a rich background of the Moorish heritage. It is best to take a walk in the villages between the mountains where the wild flowers blossom in the spring. It ranks as the 4th largest city of Spain. Barrio Santa Cruz

Take a stroll to explore the hidden alleys, carpeted gardens and have tapes in any of the cafes.

Seville Cathedral

The Seville Cathedral is a 12th century masterpiece. It is the biggest Roman Catholic Mosque. Its opulence and size leaves you spell bound. It is also known for its altarpiece-the Gothic carving. It is surely worth seeing. The cathedral houses the tomb of the famous Christopher Columbus. The view from the Giralda (cathedral’s minaret) offers magnificent view of the Spain.

Alcazar

The Alcazar was constructed under the British regime which still manifests the Moorish heritage very evidently. The courtyards and the pompous halls are splendid and joyous.

Casa de Pilatos

It is named like this because it resembles the residence of Pontius Pilate. The blend of Moorish style and Gothic balustrades add to the ambience and charm.

You will need some days to explore the city. The magical beauty of the city makes you fall in love with it. Touring by foot is the best way to explore the city. Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza, the bullring can accommodate 14000 people. It is supposed to be the oldest bullring and was built in 18th century Guided tours are available to these places. The season for bullfight commences on the Easter Sunday and lasts upto October. You cannot afford to ignore the cathedral and the other marvellous wonders.

Don’t forget to visit the tapas bars. The food is awesome and elegant bars and restaurants are found everywhere. The exterior part of the city is of distinctive nature. The country side is a fertile land and the La Colmarca de la Sierra serves lot of options for outdoor adventurous activities. The city is heated upto 50 degrees during summer and is advisable to avoid visiting between July and August. Seville is among those cities where you will find people in no hurry. The city is calm and quiet and the residents are friendly and very helpful.
