Spending Your Holiday in the Philippines

The Philippines is a beautiful archipelago of 7,107 islands. Its beauty not only lies in its diverse nature and wildlife but also in the warmth and hospitality of its people. Its rich culture and history are reflected in the centuries-old churches, museums, forts, colourful festivals and traditions.

If you love the beach to swim or to just sunbathe, or you want to explore underneath the waves, the white sandy beaches of Boracay, Panglao, and Palawan will offer you an ideal location. There are numerous hotels nearby that offer the utmost in comfort, with world-class amenities to give you the best of holidays.

If you like to commune with nature whilst on holiday, then Baguio, Sagada, and Tagaytay are the best places for you to visit. These are located in mountainous regions and have hiking trails and modern resort facilities.

Choosing the best holiday package may be exciting, albeit a little stressful for many travellers. Most holidaymakers avail themselves of promotional opportunities or cheap flights from travel agencies to this destination. You do not need to secure a visa if you are travelling to this country for less than 21 days as long as you can present valid tickets to your next destination. The passport that you have must still be valid for at least six months. However, if you prefer to stay more than 21 days, an extension of stay must be requested at the Philippine Bureau of Immigration where they can issue you with a Temporary Visitors Visa.

This is a great holiday destination with something for everyone. Before you leave remember to experience riding in one of the colourful jeepneys and tricycles.
