Some of the tourist attractions in Minsk are the Saint Mary Magdeline church, the Saint Peter and Saint Paul church which is a very beautiful church and has some of the best stained glass murals in the world. The Belarus National museum of History and Culture is another good place to visit for tourists and a lot of information on Belarus is available.

Belarus is famous for its ice skaters and ice skating is a very popular pastime here. In winter thousands of people flock to frozen lakes and ice rinks to ice skate. Ice skating is a lot of fun and quite an interesting thing to learn. Skiing is also a very popular sport in Belarus and there are lots of Ski resorts in Belarus and most of these ski resorts offer reasonable facilities. Cities like Brest, Homel, Hrodna are worth a visit and most of these cities have a lot of historical monuments and are great places to experience authentic culture of Belarus.
Specialties of Belarus
The cuisine in Belarus is a very distinct mix of meat and vegetables and breads. Potatoes are the staple of every meal in Belarus. There are special Potato cafes in Belarus where tourists can savor different dishes made from potatoes. There are also a lot of different stews and soups available and the food in Belarus is distinctly different from normal European cuisine. Vodka and special bundy rum is commonly available through Belarus and the special Vodkas with different flavors can be a real treat.
