The United States of America is not one of the most famous places to go for a vacation. This nation has the most number of the states and each of the states has something to offer. America is not so popular for its history because when you compare it with the European and Asian countries it falls pretty behind. But nothing can beat the beautiful sights which America and it states have. Virginia is a commonwealth and a very famous American state which lies on the Atlantic Coast of the south side of America. It borders one of the most popular and important states of the nation. The history says that this beautiful city is named after the queen of England, Queen Elizabeth I, because as she never got married she was called as the “Virgin Queen”. However, this is not it, the sate is also famously known as the “mother of presidents” because it gave birth to 8 presidents of the United States of America.

If you want to enjoy history in America then the state of Virginia is the place to be. The famous 1708 Gallery is located in the Richmond City in central Virginia. It is a non-profit exhibition which is committed to expand, develop and appreciate contemporary art. The exhibition is full of paintings and sculptures, it also features a number of video and film presentations. Another attraction for history lovers is the A.P. Carter Museum in Scotty County in the Heart of Appalachia. This place was an old general store which was late converted into a museum. The Carter family which consisted of A.P. Carter, wife Sara and Sara’s cousin Maybelle were the pioneers of country music. The artefacts in this museum consist of books, photos, musical instruments, clothes and many other things. There also some items which were donated by his cousins Johnny Cash and June.

A large number of events take place in Virginia which nobody would like to miss. Air shows and spectacular balloon shows is a common feature in Virginia, as the Naval Air Station is situated there and also NASA, it is paradise for people who love flying. Antique shows and flea markets is also a major attraction in the state of Virginia. It is filled with large curio shop, antique shops and thrift shops. The atmosphere at such places is great as there is a lot of communication between the vendors and the buyers. However, the fun in Virginia doesn’t end over here; there are many festivals which are devoted to history, holidays, harvests, food, heritage, birds, music, ponies, boats, antiques, friends and family.

Going to Virginia and not enjoy the night life out there would be a big mistake which tourist shall make. There are a number of things which a person can enjoy all night long. As country music is the birth place of Virginia, it is played everywhere. Ballroom dancing, concerts and theatre is also enjoyed a t a big level. So, you can see that the state of Virginia is the best place to go for a vacation.

There are people who just love to visit new places and see what each place has to offer them. They visit from one city to the other and one country to the other. They need to refresh themselves every now and then so that they are reenergized to go onto their next mission. For all such people who in search of a place where they can find energy, peace and the thrill they want to make their life worth living, Wyoming is the place. The most famous lake in the Yellowstone National Park is the Yellowstone Lake, this lake is quite famous because it’s one of the largest high altitude lakes in Northern America and is situated in the centre of Yellowstone Caldera.

Wyoming offers amazing recreational areas like Flaming Gorge Recreational Area and Bighorn Canyon National Recreational Area. These two are one of the largest recreational areas in the world and this dam was named after the Crow Chairman Robert Yellowtail. The big horn lake is quite big and extends to 71 miles. Rivers have always managed to seek attention of millions of people and there are people who live by them just because of their love for rivers. The silent flow of the river waters has been liked by many and there are people who sit on the banks for hours just looking at the water flow. There are a few people who just jump into the river when ever they pass by it.

A barge is a boat which has a flat bottom and playas vital role in transporting heavy goods across the rivers and canals. There are various barges, some barges are self propelled and most of the barges need to be moved by towboats or tug boats. These tug boats and tow boats play a vital role in moving these barges around. In today’s world barges are used to transport bulk items which are less in value. Many barges are also used to transport heavy materials. Atypical barge can carry approximately 1500 tonnes of cargo; these barges are utilized by many while moving upstream or down stream. Canal barges are usually made according to the canal that they are going to be used in. If the barge is unpowered, then the tug boats or tow boats are used to move them around.

River Barging is quite a regular practise along the river of Ohio, the barge travels through the medieval villages along with the tales of various towns which have become famous because of the underground rail road. River barging on the banks of Ohio is famous because both the north and south meet at this point. The river begins its decent into Mississippi and eventually meets the sea. There are various companies that take recreational vehicles on their barges and has also turned river barging into a tourist attraction. River barging is also used for excursion and there are various agencies that give their barges on rent for such excursions. The first excursion on ariver brage was carried out in 1998 by an agency named RiverBarge Excursion Line and Hotel Barges.

The concept of river barging has turned a whole new page; the concept which began to transport bulk materials from one side of the river to other has now managed to rope in other commercial ideas. These barges which carry recreational vehicles on them were named as cruising campgrounds. These cruising campgrounds travelled mostly in the backwater and bayouts of Mississippi and southern Louisiana. Another great idea was brought into action and they joined two barges together. The result of this idea was called the RiverExplorer, the forward barge hold public facilities and the second barge contains staterooms. A lot of luxury is provided on this barges, many of the rooms are spacious and have queen sized beds. All those who can’t live without television have for them selves a satellite television set so that they can never miss their best programme. These barges ride gently into the Ohio River, this is a life time experience and no one should miss it.
Every individual must at least once visit India and feel the cultures that have lived there for over a hundred years. Every place in India has its own importance and places like Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore, Goa and Rajasthan have always managed to attract a lot of tourists towards itself. Delhi is the capital of India and Bombay has managed to become the financial capital of Bombay. There are various places which an individual can feel only if he visits India. Over the recent years Rajasthan has managed to attract a lot of tourists and the tourism board of Rajasthan is quite happy with the way things are coming around. They have taken various steps to attract more tourists towards Rajasthan. The most recent addition that has brought a boom in tourism in Rajasthan is the Heritage on wheels. This is a tourist train and covers places like Jaipur, Bikaner, Shekhawati and then goes back to Jaipur. The overall duration of the trip is 3 nights and 4 days.

The Heritage on wheel is a joint project of the Indian Railways and the Rajasthan Tourists Development Corporation. The Heritage on Wheels train is a luxurious train meant for tourists. The theme used for this tourist’s luxury train is more like a Palace on Wheels. Rajasthan is well known for its deserts and historical buildings along with. The first day of the journey begins from Jaipur, the train leaves only twice in a week, Tuesday and Friday. Jaipur which is well known as the Pink City is also the capital of Rajasthan and excellently portrays the character of the state as well as its people. There are a lot of places that one can visit in Jaipur, places like the Jaigarh Fort, Amber fort, Hawa Mahal and City Palace. Jaipur is also well known for Jantar Mantar.

The next destination is Bikaner, the tourists are taken to Lalgarh Palace for tea. This palace not only has historical value but also stands as a sign of an amazing father and son relationship. The palace was built by Maharaja Ganga Singhji for his father Raja Lal Singhji. The train then leaves for Tal Chhapar. Bikaner is famous for its sand dunes and has retained the grand palaces and the medieval grandeur. The temples of Bikaner are richly and beautifully sculpted. The train then leaves for Shekhawati, this place has a lot of historical significance, the Havellis of Shekhawati are well kept and they are painted and beautifully and carry a lot frescoes of gods, goddeses and animals. Shekhawati is also known as the open art gallery of rajasthan and has the highest number of frescoes in the world. After covering all these beautifull destinations, the heritage on wheels which provided you the best luxury you can get on a train will take you back to Jaipur.
The country and the state of South Carolina

A country as huge and diverse as the United States of America is truly a paradise for tourists. There is such a lot to see and do here that a tourist inevitably falls in love with this country and visits it time and time again. The United States offers a huge lot to every tourist. From the cultural and historic east coast with cities like New York and Boston who vie for the tourists attention with their offerings of culture and tradition to the west coast with its perennially great weather and vibrant and buzzing cities like the city of Los Angeles or San Francisco. The south of America is also something of a tourist haven. The weather is usually great and isn’t great weather a very important part of any destination. South Carolina is a state which is rich in culture and history and is a favorite with tourists.

The many delights of South Carolina

The states of South Carolina and North Carolina together make up the region of Carolina. This region in the south of the country is blessed with a tropical kind of climate with hot weather and mild winters. However in some parts of the state the winter season is quite strong and snowfall is quite common. The capital of the state of South Carolina is the city of Columbia and it is quite a beautiful city. South Carolina is a state which has a lot of tourist destinations and is a very pleasant place to travel and take in the Southern experience. The Southern part of America has something of a total change in culture and the general vision is of a relaxed and a much laid-back life. One more important and colorful aspect of the south is the typical food. The food has something of a barbeque base and is high on sauces and mostly mustard sauces.

The famous attractions

South Carolina has achieved the honor of being named as one of the premier holiday destinations in the United States and this honor is rightly deserved as the state does have some quality tourist destinations. The majority of South Carolina’s tourist attractions are concentrated on the coast. The state has a substantial coastline of the Atlantic Ocean and many beach side attractions dot this coast. A notable tourist attraction is the Grand Strand which is around 60 miles of beaches and beach side establishments. There are scores of hotels and cabins dotting the coast and a high number of bars and restaurants. There are also some breathtaking seaside villas and properties with awesome views.
South Carolina is known as the golf capital of the world and has some of the world’s best fairways and golf courses. There are some highly prestigious golf events and a couple of high profile tournaments which take place annually. The area of Little river is also known for its fishing and the wide variety of water sports options available. Murrells Inlets is a place famed for its seafood and be sure to give this place a try if you appreciate seafood and be prepared to embark on a gastronomic adventure. The city of Charleston is a very cultural and historical place to visit. This city has a lot of old styled buildings and is one city which was left relatively untouched by the Civil War and has managed to retain its old world charm.
Festivals of New Orleans can be referred to as a cornucopia relating to all the celebrations inclusive of fun, food, and music, right from Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras to the Southern Decadence.

Essence Festival

Essence magazine offers Essence Music festival in the state of New Orleans during fourth week of July. It covers great music, seminars, crafts, and many other things. The Essence festival marks the celebration of African-American culture and music. It got back home, i.e. to New Orleans in the year 2007. This festival is known to attract around 200000 of fun-loving, talented, best-dressed, and, last, but not the least, committed people of New Orleans. You would get to know about the biggest gathering of musical talent of Africa and America in United States, along with listening to certain top-notch speakers, that too, in the empowerment seminars.

Super lounges of Essence Festival

Previously, Super lounges featured legends such as Heffery Osbourne, Bobby Blue Bland, Carl Thomas, and the Wailers.

Seminars

In the year 2007, empowerment seminars had been hosted by the personalities like Rev. Marsha Dyson, playwright David Talbert, and Rev. Andriette Earl.

Marketplace

Essence fest marketplace at New Orleans Convention comprises of African-style of crafts and arts, New Orleans Creole clothing, food, jewelry, art, etc.

Carnaval Latino

New Orleans has been, for long, a blend of gorgeous people, that too, of every race and color. Latino people are an important ingredient in ‘gumbo’, i.e. New Orleans. They have, in fact, become much more visible. This can be attributed to citizens of countries of Latin America who have arrived to New Orleans for helping in the process of rebuilding.

The localized Hispanic artists have been aiding the city for reaching out to community with best music, food, and energy of theirs. It’s a 3-day event, and open to the people loving and appreciating culture.

Louisiana Blues Festival

New Orleans Heritage and jazz Foundation has been producing this New Orleans Blues Festival. It usually starts in the month of November. It’s starting out like the Jazz Fest. Admission is usually free.

Swamp Festival

If you intend to get acquainted with the alligator, go on to attend the Swamp Festival. The stages here showcase different performers inclusive of Zydeco Playmakers and Big Red, Zydeco Hellraisers, Dwayne Dopsie, and many such artists. Cajun specialities like crawfish beignets, couchon de lait, and the fried alligator are served. However, you might wish to have some space saved for Jamaican chicken, crawfish bread, smoked turkey legs, shrimp po-boys, etc. Such dishes come through Gallery Seafood restaurant, Voleo’s, Love at the first bite, Palmer’s Cuisine, and many others.

Tennessee Williams Literary Festival

New Orleans was considered as a spiritual home by Tennessee. He used to love writing here. This festival goes on to celebrate cultural legacy and life of ‘Tennessee Williams’ by the way of 2 days of the master classes, celebrity interviews, panel discussions, music and theater events. This festival is truly worth paying a visit. You would never regret your attendance to this festival.
Whether you prefer to balloon, canyon, rock climb, ice-climb, climb trekking, fly in ultra light, fly over the mountains, or bungy jump, you would be finding an adventure every single day in Nepal. The Himalayas were, are, and would remain to be amongst the mysterious attractions to the trekkers and travelers alike. In the last few years, adventurous sports have dragged people towards them like anything. Nepal can be called a hub of adventurous activities; hence, do not get surprised if you find thousands of persons flocking towards Nepal every year. Let some amongst the various adventure sports taking place in Nepal be looked in to.

Ballooning

Just sail over Katmandu Valley. Get the camera of yours ready. There’s an impressive balloon consisting of 20-person gondola. The ballooning tour of yours comes complete along with a complete course breakfast.

Bungy Jumping

If you intend to fly, you definitely have come to the correct place. If you are new to this country, such a leap of confidence would jumpstart the already growing industry of adrenaline sport. You need to balance yourself with respect to 500 feet suspension bridge that is nestled within mountains, that too, high over the river. Kinetic energy starts flowing through wooden planks. After that, 6 seconds of the adrenaline follow.

After the flight, enjoying the relaxing stay should follow. Activities pertaining to such type of relaxing are inclusive of trekking, relaxation, rest, meditation in the old Parvati Temple, conversations with new-fangled friends at the bar called Instant Karma.

Canyoning

The newest adrenaline cocktail choice is nothing but canyoning. It’s an activity involving jumping, sliding, abseiling, and that of climbing down the canyon walls across the waterfalls to the deep pools underneath. You are required of swimming in to the narrow passages, via powerful water blasts, and natural rock formations. Such a unique mixture of skills would give you freedom of exploring certain most ruggedly gorgeous, yet prohibited places of the world.

Ice-climbing

Out of ten highest peaks of the world, 8 have been found in the country of Nepal, thereby being the perfect setting in terms of mountaineering, ice and peak climbing. The Himalayas, the most reputable mountain playground of the world, is the place which should be visited by every person at least once. Extreme altitudes, demanding skills, icefalls, glaciers, and jagged peaks tend to heighten the senses of yours, thereby giving you a powerful and an exhilarating experience.

Rock Climbing

The rising Himalayas would also tempt the people who wish to have themselves tethered or opt for free climbing. You can wish for anything out of these two. Such young mountains would surely offer adequate finger-clinging holds for giving memories for the lifetime. Majority of trekking outfitters present the gear needed for the purposes of mountaineering. However, for more specified climbing needs, let coming loaded through the own gear of yours be considered.

Expeditions

Numerous peaks like Mt. Everest have been explored for quite some time now. The Government of Nepal is also showing interest for opening restricted and new trekking areas as well as virgin peaks to make summit attempts.
The train is a great mode of transport which has been invented and it is one of the best and the most comfortable ways to travel. A train ride is an experience in itself and has a lot to offer to a traveler. A train ride is fast enough to get you to your destination on time but also offers you the chance to look out and experience the vistas and the views you are being treated to and offered. This is simply not possible in an Airplane and that is why trains are something very useful. One factor that you do not have to compromise on most train journeys is the comfort factors. Most trains are quite comfortable and at times offer the same level of comfort as offered by an airplane.
A train system is quite useful in big countries as it effectively links up almost the whole country and provides transport to almost any place in that country. A country like Canada is the ideal place for a train system. Most of the Canadian rail system is engaged in moving freight and a very small chunk is devoted to passenger traffic. The train system is quite vast and is connected to almost every big city. Owing to the huge size of the country train journeys in Canada are quite long but the sights and the views outside of your window really light up the journey and make it quite pleasant.

Canada is home to the Rocky Mountains and there is no better way to enjoy the Rockies than to take a train trip. The Rockies are really lovely to look at and something really unique that Canada has to offer to the tourists. A train trip is not too fast and nor is it too slow. It is the perfect mix of speed and tranquility and really allows the tourist to enjoy himself. The Rockies are one place where you can see everything that Canada has to offer and the varying landscapes do really manage to light up your eyes and fill your mind with wondrous sights.

There are many train trips from Calgary to Vancouver or the other way around. A variety of rail routes are followed and all of these routes are very scenic and highly appealing. The rail trips are normally not too long in durations and finish in about 3 days. There are a multitude of tours which are for 2 days or even shorter. Most of these tours offer you a stay on the places which you might be passing and favorite among tourists on the train trips to Calgary and Vancouver is Kamloops. Traveling to Calgary it is quite possible that you will be spending a lot of time on the train and in such tours the rail company is sure to provide a tourist with a meal and some complimentary beverages. The Rocky Mountaineer is one of the most famous trains that run the circuit between Calgary and Vancouver. This train is an excellent example of mechanical engineering and it is a real treat to ride in the Rocky Mountaineer.
