The world is a very wonderful place to visit. The world has a lot of places that are worthy of a visit and every part of the world has something special to offer to the people living in this world. The continent Asia and Armenia the country
The continent of Asia is an extremely vast continent and one continent where there are multitudes of cultures. There are scores of cultures all over the continent and in the northern or the north western part of Asia the culture bears a distinct similarity to European cultures. One such country which bears some semblance of European culture is the country of Armenia. Armenia enjoys a very distinct status of being geographically situated in Asia but of having a predominantly Eastern European culture. The capital of the country is the city of Yerevan. The city of Yerevan is an extremely beautiful city containing a lot of monuments. The Armenian Genocide museum is a must visit site and so is the Katoghike which is the smallest church in Armenia and constructed in the distinct Armenian style of architecture.
Places to visit in Armenia
One other famous place in Armenia is the city of Dilijan. This city ranks high on the list of adventure travellers and has some of the most distinct flora and fauna and some really amusing geographical aspects. Armenia is home to the Sevana Lich which is the highest and the biggest lake in the lesser Caucasus region. Visiting the lake is a real experience as there are lots of other monuments and some very beautiful monasteries lining the shores of this lake and also the lake has some really beautiful beaches which are a hot favourite with most tourists. Northern Armenia is also a very beautiful part and there are rolling forests and hills in this part of Armenia. Quaint old monasteries are perched on hills and there are lots of beautiful churches dotting this area.
Armenian cuisine
Armenian cuisine is highly delicious and one cuisine which is light on the stomach. Armenian cuisine is full of pork and lamb and also a lot of vegetables are included. The special strained yoghurt is considered a true delicacy of Armenia and tourists are advised to give this unusual dish a try. Armenia produces a lot of types of Vodka and flavours as distinct as Mulberry and Cherry are available in Vodka. Armenia is a relatively safe country and a country which is mystical and magical at the same time. Visiting Armenia can be a real pleasure as this country does have a lot to offer to tourists.
